The year was 1976 and she was famous when she scored her first perfect 10 on the asymmetric bar at the Montreal Olympic Games. Then, in 1976, NadiaComaneci continued to record six more perfect 10s and became one of the youngest Olympic silver medalist. The awe-inspiring Nadia Comaneci did more than draw the attention of others, but she also helped Romania achieve a worldwide presence. The sports icon came into the the spotlight after achieving a record-breaking number of points, thereby in creating legends and increasing the popularity of the sport of gymnastics across the world. The sport also altered the perception of women gymnasts. Her impact on the Olympics was so great the two routines, the toe-on move and the release motion were named after her. Both of them have been classified as high-level difficulty. Also, she performed very well in World Championships, European Championships and Olympics. It led to her becoming a legend and she's now one of the best gymnasts across the world. Also, she modelled and marketed sporting equipment after moving from the US.
